Contact Sri Lankan Chat
Reach the people who run Sri Lankan Chat. Whether you need account help, want to report abuse, have a privacy question, or want to suggest a feature, this is the right place to start.
When to use the contact form
The form on this page reaches the platform administrators directly. We monitor it during normal business hours in Sri Lanka time (Asia/Colombo, UTC+5:30) and respond within a few business days for most enquiries. Please send a message if you want to:
- Report a bug, error message, or broken feature.
- Ask about your account, registration, email verification, or password reset.
- Report a user, message, or chat room that breaks our rules.
- Request removal or correction of personal information held by us.
- Ask a question about our Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, or Cookie Policy.
- Discuss a partnership, sponsorship, advertising, or media request.
- Share feedback or suggest a feature you would like to see.
Urgent safety concerns. If you or someone else is in immediate physical danger, contact local emergency services first. In Sri Lanka the police emergency number is 119 and the ambulance number is 1990. The contact form on this page is not monitored around the clock and is not a substitute for emergency services.
Reporting another user or message
The fastest way to flag a misbehaving user is the report option on their profile inside the chat itself, but this contact form also works. When you report someone here, please include:
- The exact nickname or username of the person.
- The chat room or circle where the behaviour happened.
- The approximate time, ideally within an hour or two.
- What was said or shared, in your own words. Screenshots are welcome but optional.
Privacy and data requests
If you want to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, please write from the email address linked to your account so we can verify the request. We aim to respond to verified privacy requests within 30 days, in line with the principles in our Privacy Policy. For deletion requests, mention your nickname so we can locate the right account.
Press, partnerships, and advertising
For interview requests, partnerships with student groups or non-profits, advertising enquiries, or community events, send us a short note describing your organisation and what you would like to discuss. We try to respond to media requests faster than general enquiries when a deadline is involved — mention your deadline in the subject line.
