Introducing the Social Space on Sri Lankan Chat
Chat is now more than just chat. Meet the new social space on lanka chat, where you can post updates, share photos, react, comment, and connect with friends right alongside your favourite Sri Lankan chat rooms.
For a long time, lanka chat has been about live conversation, jumping into a room, meeting people, and talking in real time. Today we are adding something new that sits right next to it: a social space where the conversation does not have to end when you leave the room.
What is the social space?
Think of it as your personal corner of lankan chat. You can share updates, post photos, and let friends know what you are up to, all without leaving the community you already enjoy. It is built to be simple, friendly, and easy to use, so you can express yourself and still keep that familiar Sri Lankan chat feel.
What you can do
- Share posts. Write a quick update or a longer story using bold, italics, and lists.
- Post photos. Add images to bring your posts to life.
- React and comment. Show some love with a like, a heart, or a handshake, and keep the conversation going in the comments.
- Choose who sees it. Make a post public, members-only, or just for friends.
- Connect with friends. Send and accept friend requests to build your own circle.
A profile that feels like you
Your profile is your home base. Add a banner, write a short bio, and let people get a sense of who you are before they say hello. It is a friendly way to turn a username into a real connection.
The chat rooms bring people together in the moment. The social space helps those connections last.
Built to stay safe and friendly
The same values that guide our Sri Lankan chat rooms apply here too. Be kind, respect others, and use the visibility controls to share on your own terms. If something is not right, our reporting tools are always close by. For a refresher, see our Community Guidelines and Safety Guide.
How to get started
- Open the social space from the menu.
- Set up your profile with a photo, banner, and short bio.
- Share your first post and react to a few from the community.
- Send a friend request to someone you have enjoyed chatting with.
This is just the beginning. We wanted to keep it simple, friendly, and easy to use, and we will keep improving it based on what you tell us. Jump in, share something, and help shape the newest part of lanka chat.
